Free Music performances at the Kennedy Center

The Kennedy Center is offering free music performances. Most performances begin at 6 PM. This week the following performances are offered:

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday July 13, 15-17 at 6 PM
The National Symphony Orchestra Summer Music Institute participants ages 15–20 will perform chamber music. This will take place in the Family Theater.

Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 6 PM
A group called Amuma Says No from Boise, Idaho brings together the best of traditional trikitixa (a duo of accordion and tambourine) with a modern rhythm section and songs sung in the Basque language of Euskara.

Location
The Kennedy Center is located on the banks of the Potomac River at 2700 F St., NW, Washington, D.C. 20566, at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue, NW, and the Rock Creek Parkway.

Getting There
To get there on the METRO, The Foggy Bottom/George Washington University Station (on the Orange and Blue lines, at 23rd and I streets, NW) , is the stop closest to the Kennedy Center. From there it is a short walk via New Hampshire Avenue.

OR You can use the FREE Kennedy Center Shuttle (signs are towards the left as you exit the escalator). The shuttle departs every 15 minutes until Midnight.
