Job Description:
Functions as the IDCD Project Manager’s assistant for all construction field operations. Monitors, coordinates, and facilitates the activities required for project construction to assure that projects meet quality, cost and schedule objectives. Assists Project Manager (PM) in coordination of utilities shutdown for all construction projects. Investigates hospital complaints regarding disruptions to facility such as noise, odor, vibration, etc. Assists Document Control Coordinator in maintaining all construction project drawings and blueprints. Assists Project Managers in monitoring job site performance.\ This position is located at Inova Fairfax Hospital\
Job & Education Requirements:
Two to five years of work experience with a General Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or Electrical Contractor.\ Working knowledge of MS Office Suite software applications and MS Project management software.\
Additional Information:
Associate Degree in a related construction field of study or equivalent year's of work experience (five additional year's of work experience with a General Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or Electrical Contractor) and a High School Diploma/equivalent.\ Working knowledge of applicable building codes and design standards relative to healthcare facilities. Familiarity with applicable building codes and design standards relative to healthcare design (i.e. IBC, VUSBC, NFPA 101, and AIA Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities).\

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Prefer individuals with previous warehouse work experience.
Must have experience operating a forklift and ability to obtain forklift certification.
Must have the ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, scrubbers, and other equipment in a safe, responsible and professional manner.
The employee must be able to lift products from 25lbs to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 170 lbs. when handling keg products.
